Man Utd News: Manchester United are plotting a record transfer move for Leicester City defender Harry Maguire, reports Evening Standard UK.

Maguire – the defender who doesn’t cease to impress
The 26-year-old has been vital for the Foxes this season, giving his utmost contribution towards each game.
Furthermore, the England international helped his side achieve 9 clean sheets this season. Playing for more than 30 matches despite a short injury layoff, Maguire has scored 3 goals to his account.
The Foxes’ run in this season’s Premier League has been decent as they are currently 9th in the table.
Solskjaer wants to strengthen his high line of defense
Man United endured a tough spell as they managed to secure only one win in their last eight games, led them to lose their Champions League qualification.
Ole Gunner Solskjaer who looked promising at the initial stage has been deflated after becoming the manager on a permanent basis.
United’s vulnerable defense is one of the key reasons for their slump and the Norwegian gaffer wanted to sort it out.
Big names like Chris Smalling Phil Jones and Ashley Young were completely out of sort this season which in turn led goalkeeper David De Gea to take up the blame at times.
Having said that, Maguire would be an optimistic choice at Old Trafford and can form a great partnership with centre-back Victor Lindelof.
